The topic for the evening will be an overview of OMA, Opening Minds Through Art.  She will be giving a demonstration and discussing the importance of intergenerational socialization and engagement as related to this program.  Our speaker will be Kim Willis, Community Liaison, Capital Health Care Network

Kim is the Community Liaison for Capital Health Care Network, which is a health care that owns three long term care and rehab facilities in the greater Dayton area as well as in home skilled nursing and hospice services.


Kim is a married mother of two and has lived in the Dayton area for over 30 years. After receiving a degree in Business Administration, from Central State University she pursued a career in marketing that has included positions in pharmaceutical sales, senior home health care and hospice and long-term care.


She currently volunteers with Goodwill Easter Seals, Area Agency on Aging, The Alzheimer’s Association and Opening Minds through Art. Through these organizations she has been trained to lead and promote wellness for seniors and caregivers through workshops such as, Matter of Balance (Fall Prevention), Healthy U (Chronic Disease Management), The 10 Warning Signs (Alzheimer’s Education) and Opening minds through Art: Miami University Scripps Gerontology (Art Therapy). She has also helped advocate with legislators for more resources and support for people living with dementia and their caregivers.
